Renovation of the A2/A67 motorways, Eindhoven

35 ton spiral welded steel tubes: quality X70 185 metres, diameter tubes 813 mm

A drinking water mains was diverted as part of the renovation of the A2 motorway. The positive face control method was adopted for the drilling of the tunnel. The tunnel boring machine went under the A2/A67, followed by various steel tubes. The tubes protect the water mains against the pressure of the road surface and damage from external factors.
